The site plan includes details like property lines, lot area, any easements present, and information about the building in relation to any adjacent buildings. It also specifies the location and dimensions of the existing building or the proposed building and a summary of zoning provisions.

This should provide details on how the lot will be graded and designed to ensure ponding issues are not created. It is also important that grading is done in compliance with grading requirements before a Lot Grading Certificate can be issued.

Complete dimensions of the building are required, showing each level of the building. The proposed use of each room and the location of smoke alarms and carbon monoxide detectors will be shown, including plumbing fixtures, the foundation, exterior and interior walls, and structural framing.

The roof plan includes the layout plan for the proposed roof, the structure of the roof, skylights, roof slopes, valleys/peaks, and ventilation. Truss drawings and the floor joist plan are needed if engineered roof trusses or floor systems are proposed in the plan.
