Rui Pedro
Co-Founder and COO
Meet Rui, Co-Founder and COO of Lumara Homes Inc.! Rui began to pave the road in the building and renovation industry at an early age in Portugal. In the mid-’90s, he moved his operations to Germany where he started a family business in the tile and stone installation industry. He later returned to Portugal where he completed his technical engineering degree. His thirst to tackle new opportunities brought him to Canada to continue his journey of building homes, basements, kitchens, and bathrooms. Rui is committed to simplifying the home-building process while delivering high-class results that exceed the expectations of his clients.
Rui strongly believes that there are no obstacles that can not be overcome with patience, will, and preparation. Building homes is a special act for Rui as it connects him to his family who has worked in the industry for many generations. Rui is most proud of the opportunities he has been able to provide for his children. With Lumara, Rui is most looking forward to assisting clients in creating the home of their dreams. When Rui is not working, you can find him cooking his favourite meal, unwinding with a book in hand, or boxing away in the ring.

Meet Tal, Co-Founder and CEO of Lumara Homes Inc.! With over 5 years of experience in the custom home industry, Tal is driven by his passion for design. From client care to innovative ideas, he provides his clients with the necessary resources to empower them to build their forever homes. Tal has completed countless projects in some of the most well-established areas in the GTA, gaining extensive knowledge in managing successful home improvement projects. His top priority is to establish an open line of communication with his clients in order to build long-lasting relationships in his local community.
Tal’s unique vision delivers designs that are both luxurious and novel. With client satisfaction of utmost importance, he works alongside his clients’ projects from start to finish. Being in the know and assisting with all aspects of a project; from team management, budgeting, design, and quality control, Tal prides himself on his ability to transform the stressful construction process into a rather enjoyable experience. Tal’s long history in the construction world started at a young age and is reflected in his success within the industry. As a family-oriented individual, Tal strongly believes in honesty, transparency, and integrity. These core values are at the forefront of all his endeavours. He accredits these moral principles for establishing himself in the construction industry and achieving some of his most significant accomplishments. When Tal is not on-site or in the office, you can find him spending time at his cottage, playing a round of golf, or kicking back and listening to a new episode of his favourite podcasts.
